About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on projects ranging from system design to building product features and optimizing performance. You will join one of our engineering teams, such as Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or Inference. This is a full-time position based on-site at our headquarters in San Francisco.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain software across our stack, from low-level systems to customer-facing UIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver new features and improvements.
- Write clean, efficient, and documented code that prioritizes maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization tasks.
- Contribute your own ideas to help shape our technical infrastructure and product direction.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
- The ability to solve problems creatively and communicate technical trade-offs.
- Bonus points for experience with web development, databases, distributed systems, cloud platforms, or open source contributions.
