About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern on our Site Civil Design Team, you will contribute to infrastructure projects across the Northeast. You will work alongside industry experts to assist with projects ranging from initial concepts to construction oversight. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship designed to provide hands-on experience and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Research, compile, and examine project-related data.
- Assist staff with various projects and field assignments.
- Perform computer-aided drafting tasks and create basic plans in AutoCAD.
- Complete engineering calculations under the direction of an engineer.
- Prepare written communications, including emails, memorandums, field reports, and specifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program for Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Previous relevant work experience.
- Intellectual curiosity and a drive to solve engineering problems.
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness.
- Preference is given to candidates with at least 2 years of completed college coursework.
- Preference is given to those with hands-on experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or HydroCAD.
- Preference is given to those with previous internship experience in engineering, design, or consulting.

- Compensation: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on completed years of college-level education.
