About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op in the Forensics practice, you will gain hands-on experience investigating HVAC and building system failures, damage, and performance issues across commercial, institutional, and specialty facilities. You will work within a team-oriented environment to gain exposure to engineering solutions and forensic methodologies.
What you'll do#
- Assist in field investigations of HVAC and building systems by documenting conditions and collecting data for analysis.
- Support evaluations of system performance and failure modes using engineering tools and forensic techniques.
- Help prepare technical reports and exhibits for clients and legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions for repair or mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status in a mechanical engineering degree program.
- A strong academic record and an interest in building systems and forensic problem-solving.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC analysis tools is considered a plus but is not required.
