About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op in the Forensics practice, you will gain hands-on experience investigating HVAC and building system failures, damage, and performance issues. You will work across commercial, institutional, and specialty facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions for repair and mitigation.
What you'll do#
- Assist in field investigations of HVAC and building systems by documenting conditions and collecting data for analysis.
- Support evaluations of system performance and failure modes using engineering tools and forensic techniques.
- Help prepare technical reports and exhibits for clients and legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions for repair or mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
- Strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in building systems and forensic problem-solving.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC analysis tools is considered a plus but is not required.
