About the role#
This internship supports the Mergers & Acquisitions team at The Westervelt Company. You will gain hands-on experience with timberland investment analysis, strategic planning, and real estate projects. You will work directly with experienced professionals to support business decisions and learn about land stewardship.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain in-house financial models for acquisitions.
- Build and maintain models for corporate strategic planning.
- Research topics related to acquisitions, real estate, alternative land uses, and ESG trends.
- Support due diligence work on potential acquisitions.
- Assist with corporate process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor or master degree in business, economics, finance, forestry, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and advanced functions.
- Experience with ArcMap.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and simplify complex research findings.

- This is a paid, full-time position.
