About the role#
This internship focuses on Sustainability Strategy for Parks Product Development and Retail. You will work on processes, systems, and tools to measure Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions. This is a full-time, six-month commitment running from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Refine product classifications used for calculating the annual Scope 3 emissions inventory.
- Recommend new archetypes to improve inventory accuracy.
- Create a preliminary Scope 3 inventory for secondary packaging on global products.
- Provide technical guidance regarding emissions factor development.
- Use data and external information to estimate the environmental impact of product archetypes and packaging.
- Update your manager on daily business issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and the corporate sustainability team to identify areas of interdependency.
- Contribute to a team environment that values creativity and accountability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to simplify complex problems and create clear narratives from data.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Unrestricted work authorization.
- Preference for students with Junior or Senior standing.
- Preference for students pursuing an advanced degree with an emphasis on greenhouse gas emissions.
Location & details#
- Location: Kissimmee, Florida.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- You must provide your own housing and reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- You must align with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
