About the role#
This internship supports the ABC News Consumer Insights team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Research to help understand how news programs perform across broadcast and streaming platforms. This is a full-time, six-month role based in New York City.
What you'll do#
- Assist with quantitative research by using software to generate data and conduct analysis.
- Create and maintain regular ratings reports.
- Monitor syndicated research sources and synthesize findings for partners.
- Cultivate insights on audience groups to help advise viewer growth strategies.
- Build templates for data visualization and presentations.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior undergraduate status.
- Coursework in Journalism, Communications, Statistics, Marketing, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under critical deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to June 2027).
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- You must provide your own housing and transportation.
