About the role#
This internship supports the Marketplace & Portfolio Insights team within the Research, Insights & Analytics division. You will work with teams across the organization, including Disney Entertainment Networks, Disney Streaming, Platform Distribution, and Corporate Strategy. This is a full-time, six-month commitment based in New York, New York, running from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects related to media and consumer behavior, including usage, subscriptions, Pay TV trends, and distribution negotiation support.
- Learn to use research tools such as Nielsen systems.
- Pull, clean, and organize both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Gain exposure to the day-to-day tasks and challenges of media research.
What you'll need#
- Strong interest in data analysis, media math, viewership trends, and television content.
- Ability to work with numbers and tell stories using data.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in collaborative settings and managing multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with senior year preferred.
- Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or related fields.
- Unrestricted work authorization and at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred skills include experience with Nielsen, Comscore, Canva, data visualization tools, process automation, or AI productivity tools.
- Candidates must submit a cover letter and a sample of relevant work, such as a portfolio or statistical project.
