About the role#
The Walsh Group offers an internship program for students in the Chicago region. This program provides hands-on experience in project engineering and field management to prepare you for future leadership roles. You will work on jobsites or within estimating and preconstruction departments. What you'll do#
- Assist project managers and field supervision staff with daily project coordination.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Solicit bidders and coordinate activities for subcontractors.
- Create schedules for contracts and materials.
- Write RFIs and submittals.
- Participate in team meetings, safety management, and document control.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Availability to work a 12-week schedule.
- Willingness to relocate if required by the specific role.
