About the role#
The Learning Strategies Program is looking for a Student Manager for the Fall 2026 semester. In this role, you will work with the Student Success Supervisor, Assistant Coordinator, and faculty to provide mentorship and guidance to Learning Strategists. You will serve as a leader within the Center for Teaching and Learning, helping to maintain the integrity of our services and supporting our student employees.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative coordination and expertise for the Learning Strategies Program.
- Participate in program planning meetings and support daily operations.
- Co-facilitate program and staff evaluations using data-driven methods.
- Co-facilitate weekly trainings for student employees, focusing on academic support and tutoring.
- Represent the Center for Teaching and Learning through presentations to student groups, organizations, and classes.
- Model professional ethics and uphold program policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least 6 credit hours at the University of New Mexico in a degree-seeking program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Availability to work 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Ability to attend pre-semester training the week before classes begin.
- Availability for weekly Friday trainings from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
- A flexible schedule that allows for occasional evening shifts.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.
