About the role#
This internship supports the Records and Information Governance Department at Salt River Project. You will gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals on projects that support the delivery of water and power. This role focuses on records management, compliance, and internal stakeholder support.
What you'll do#
- Manage paper records and box storage.
- Assist in developing and updating the company Records Retention Schedule.
- Use records management systems like OpenText Content Server.
- Coordinate the transfer of records between business areas and off-site storage facilities.
- Provide guidance and research assistance to internal stakeholders regarding information management.
- Identify process improvements and help document departmental procedures.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in at least 6 college credits (100 level or higher).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work at least 25 hours per week between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Computer Science.

- This position is based in Tempe, Arizona.
- The role operates on a hybrid schedule, allowing for telework up to three days per week.
- You must live and work in Arizona.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
