About the role#
We are looking for a College Intern to support our metallurgical and materials engineering teams. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. This role focuses on gaining hands-on technical experience in a laboratory setting while contributing to the reliable delivery of water and power services.
What you'll do#
Under the guidance of a Metallurgical Engineer, you will participate in a variety of technical activities. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing metallurgical examinations and failure analysis
- Preparing samples and interpreting microstructures
- Conducting microscopy and field inspections
- Managing laboratory equipment
- Preparing technical reports
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Active enrollment in at least six credit hours at the college level (100 or above)
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Legal authorization to work in the United States

- Schedule: Flexible, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week based on academic commitments
