About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports our mission to provide a great shopping experience for every guest. You will work alongside the Store Manager to learn how retail operations function and what it takes to succeed in management. This role involves a mix of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, alongside specific training modules to build your leadership foundation.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and merchandise displays.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Open and close cash registers, count money, and balance cash drawers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to perform all essential job duties satisfactorily.
