About the role#
This paid internship offers hands-on experience in sports facility management at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples, Florida. You will work across multiple departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of how a large-scale sports and recreation facility operates. This is a full-time, on-site role scheduled for Winter 2027. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate class requirements for current students.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through local programming, food and beverage, guest services, sales, marketing, sponsorship, and facility management.
- Promote and operate tournaments, local programming, and special events.
- Manage daily operations at The Factory fitness center.
- Allocate marketing budgets and develop advertisements.
- Identify and negotiate potential sponsorships.
- Handle inventory, food preparation, and catering for daily operations and special events.
- Support the facility team with building and grounds maintenance.
- Assist management with event budgets, employee scheduling, and profit and loss analysis.
- Perform general human resource tasks.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Strong desire to learn the sports management industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to multi-task and organize multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated mindset with the initiative to complete tasks on time.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Location & details#
- Location: Naples, Florida.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends required based on the event calendar.
