About the role#
As a Sports Management Intern at Ballparks of America and Sho-Me, you will gain hands-on experience in the sports and recreation industry. This role focuses on the promotion and operation of leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments. You will work across multiple areas of the facility to understand how a venue functions on a daily basis.
What you'll do#
- Promote and operate sports leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments.
- Assist with the scheduling and execution of daily facility operations.
- Participate in cross-training for event management and venue walkthroughs.
- Support special events and take on additional projects as needed.
- Work in various areas including the Family Entertainment Center and food and beverage operations.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate, preferably in sport management or a related field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Self-motivated with the initiative to finish tasks on time.
- Proven ability to multitask and organize multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
