About the role#
The Agile Management Solutions team governs platforms like Jira, Confluence, and Slack to support IT delivery. This year-round internship provides hands-on experience in business analysis and IT operations. You will gain skills in data querying, workflow automation, and enterprise system integration while working in a regulated financial environment. This is a paid, part-time position with a maximum of 1,000 hours, running from January through December.
What you'll do#
- Query and report on operational data using JQL and ticket taxonomy.
- Configure and govern workflow automation rules.
- Structure information for enterprise system integrations.
- Perform inventory and cleanup of Jira automation rules.
- Analyze ticket volume baselines and trends.
- Develop process automation logic.
- Conduct discovery for ServiceNow and Confluence integrations.
- Perform information governance and content classification.
- Document and gate production changes within a regulated environment.
- Present project deliverables during sprint reviews.
What you'll need#
- Standing as a rising senior or second-year graduate student.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May/August 2028.
- Pursuit of a STEM degree.
- Comfort with spreadsheets and basic data analysis.
- Exposure to query logic or scripting, such as SQL or JQL.
- Strong attention to detail and a documentation mindset.
- Ability to present findings to a technical audience.
- Curiosity about how enterprise IT systems function.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in IT business analysis or operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid. Employees are expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday as mandatory anchor days.
- Employment Type: Part-time, non-exempt.
