About the role#
The Mosaic Company is seeking a Process Engineer Co-Op or Intern for the Summer 2027 term. Based at the Mosaic Potash Esterhazy mine, this full-time role involves supporting major projects and daily troubleshooting to improve facility efficiency and product quality. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in an industrial mining environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with major projects and daily troubleshooting to optimize mill performance.
- Perform fieldwork, including data analysis, report writing, and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Identify root causes of operational problems and assist with process optimization.
- Conduct mass and energy balances for chemical processes and support process control optimization.
- Assist with Turnaround and Repair Day equipment inspections.
- Communicate project updates and training across various levels of the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, and contractors.
- Participate in department and project-specific meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, having reached at least third-year status by May 2027.
- Minimum academic standing of 72% or higher.
- Ability to work in an industrial chemical and mining environment, including occasional outdoor work with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel between sites.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 25 lbs and climbing stairs.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.

- Modality: On-site, full-time (36-40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
- Requirements: Selected candidates must successfully complete a post-offer drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, and functional capacity examination.
