About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Summer 2027 internship based at the Mosaic Potash Esterhazy mine in Saskatchewan. You will support engineering teams on major projects and day-to-day troubleshooting to optimize mill performance, facility efficiency, and product quality. This role involves working in an industrial mining environment and collaborating with diverse personnel, including operators, tradespeople, and management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with troubleshooting to identify root causes of operational problems.
- Perform metric reporting and process optimization tasks.
- Conduct data analysis, report writing, and monitoring of key performance indicators.
- Assist with Turnaround and Repair Day equipment inspections.
- Communicate project updates and implementation details across various levels of the organization.
- Participate in department and project-specific meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, having reached at least third-year status by May 2027.
- A minimum academic standing of 72%.
- Ability to work in an industrial chemical and mining environment, including occasional outdoor work with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs and climbing stairs.
- Successful completion of pre-placement requirements, including a drug and alcohol screening, background check, and physical examination.
