About the role#
As a Finance Technology Intern, you will support the data, analytics, automation, and technology solutions used across the Finance department. You will work with developers and business partners to analyze data, build reporting solutions, and improve business processes. This role focuses on applying analytics and modern technology, including AI, to solve business problems.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and model data to help Finance teams generate insights and take action.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations.
- Prepare, clean, validate, and analyze data for Finance teams.
- Learn existing Finance processes, technology workflows, and business use cases.
- Create, maintain, and enhance data models and reporting solutions.
- Assist with small automations and process improvements.
- Develop and execute test plans for changes or upgrades to Finance technology tools.
- Support testing and documentation for reports subject to SOX controls.
- Ensure data, reports, and technology solutions follow enterprise data governance, audit, and compliance standards.
- Use AI tools to support analysis, documentation, and daily tasks.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT partners.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Interest in data, analytics, automation, AI, reporting, or technology solutions shown through coursework, projects, or prior experience.
- Exposure to business intelligence, data visualization, or analytical tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, R, or Python.
- Strong time-management, attention-to-detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business partners.
- A curious mindset and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
Location & details#
- Location: Orrville, Ohio.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (onsite a minimum of 9 days per month).
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: Paid position ($19-$24.50 per hour based on year of college completed).
- Benefits: Includes a housing stipend for those relocating.
