About the role#
As an Operations Engineering Intern, you will work directly with operating technicians and staff to understand manufacturing processes. You will collect and analyze data to identify and execute process improvement opportunities. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work with technicians on the plant floor to understand manufacturing workflows and develop improvement areas.
- Manage projects from initial scope development through capital appropriation, implementation, and final verification.
- Coordinate the activities of contractors, hourly technicians, and other internal resources.
- Collect and analyze data to drive initiatives.
- Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate your results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering.
- Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Comfort working in both office settings and plant environments.
- Commitment to following all safety procedures.
