About the role#
The Inland Real Estate Group is seeking an Investor Relations Summer Intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time, paid position offers hands-on experience in investor relations, business operations, and financial services. You will work alongside professionals in our contact center, project management, communications, and AI teams to learn how we support our real estate investment programs.
What you'll do#
- Support investor communications and reporting processes.
- Assist with projects that support investor operations and business objectives.
- Learn how the department manages fund dispositions from the initial sale letter through closing.
- Collaborate with teams on investor outreach and project management.
- Gain exposure to how Investor Relations partners with Sales, Asset Management, Accounting, Legal, and Operations.
- Participate in real-world AI and automation initiatives.
- Assist with Microsoft Copilot and agent-based use cases tied to enterprise goals.
- Evaluate existing business processes to identify workflow improvement opportunities.
- Document findings, project outcomes, and recommendations.
- Help analyze and optimize workflows that impact employees and investors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Business, Finance, Real Estate, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
- Junior standing at the time of application.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- A demonstrated interest in AI, automation, data analysis, or process improvement.
- Strong critical thinking skills and a curious mindset.
- Comfort collaborating with stakeholders across different departments.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based at our corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois.
- The internship is a full-time, 40-hour per week commitment.
- Compensation is set at $25 per hour.
