About the role#
The Hanover Insurance Group is hiring a Regulatory Data Analyst intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, 10-week program based on-site in Worcester, Massachusetts. You will work within our Actuarial and Analytics team to support business assignments, test your academic knowledge, and gain professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Compile and validate requirements for IT systems to implement filings.
- Test pricing systems to ensure they follow filing requirements.
- Design and prepare special reports and data compilations.
- Monitor compliance with ISO, NCCI, State Rating Bureaus, and other rating organizations.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for existing processes.
- Analyze company and industry data, perform competitive analysis, and prepare recommendations under supervision.
- Communicate analysis results to stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving systems, operations, and product teams.
- Present a final project to management at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week program.
- Understanding of fundamental analytical concepts and procedures.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
