About the role#
Central Insurance offers a summer internship for students interested in applying analytics to insurance business problems. This role provides an opportunity to manage a data project from start to finish while working alongside our internal teams.
What you'll do#
- Apply statistical techniques to complete a project from start to finish.
- Write and validate SQL queries to prepare data for hypothesis testing.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to find patterns.
- Build predictive models based on your analysis.
- Use data visualization to share findings and explain your work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an M.S. program for Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to code in R or Python.
- Experience writing SQL queries to create datasets.
- Knowledge of predictive modeling, including linear and non-linear models, regression, and machine learning.

- Location: Dublin, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Status: Paid, full-time, on-site.
