About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern role focuses on creating a positive shopping experience for guests while learning the fundamentals of retail operations. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the business functions and what it takes to succeed in a management capacity. This is a paid, full-time summer 2026 internship.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide helpful service.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, and customer service expectations.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour goals.
- Open and close cash registers, balance cash drawers, and handle financial transactions.
- Complete orientation and leadership modules from the management manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Assist with merchandising tasks, including handling freight and preparing displays.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or Communications.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
