About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the retail business and develop your leadership skills. This role focuses on balancing customer service with operational tasks to create a positive shopping experience. You will gain hands-on experience in management by completing specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
What you'll do#
- Complete training modules covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide legendary guest service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and helping with product selections.
- Perform operational duties including opening and closing cash registers, handling freight, and maintaining a clean store.
- Develop your skills in recruiting, merchandising, and team leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, specifically in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
