About the role#
The Aerospace Corporation is hiring Software Tools and Assurance interns to join the Information Systems and Cyber Division. You will work on software projects that support space enterprise challenges. This role involves using open source programming languages and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on research and technical programs.
What you'll do#
- Write software for various projects with a focus on open source languages.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team on ongoing research or technical programs.
- Apply standard engineering techniques to complete prescribed tasks.
- Coordinate with internal and external organizations to support project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks outside of your university term.
- Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Proficiency in Java, C/C++, or Python.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Transcripts are required for your application.
- Preferred qualifications include a 3.5 GPA or higher and experience in full-stack web development, model-based software engineering, Agile development, or cloud-native architectures.

- This position is located on-site in El Segundo, California.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Employment is based on a rolling term.
