About the role#
This internship focuses on systems architecture and integration within the LV Architecture team. You will work on-site in Palo Alto, California. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week. We are looking for students available for the Winter, Spring, or Summer 2027 terms. You must be actively enrolled in an academic program to participate.
What you'll do#
- Turn system-level requirements into clear constraints for hardware and software teams.
- Lead design discussions across electrical, software, manufacturing, mechanical, and service departments.
- Create system block diagrams, functional requirements, and performance specifications.
- Define hardware and software interfaces.
- Build prototypes to test new technologies and reduce risk.
- Perform system bring-up and integration testing at the vehicle level to verify design assumptions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in electrical and embedded systems.
- Practical experience debugging subsystems that use network microprocessors or software-controlled devices.
- Ability to identify the impacts of electrical, software, or process changes.
- Skill in debugging hardware and software interactions during design and deployment.
- Proficiency in reading C or C++.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar modeling tools.

- Compensation: $20.00 to $55.00 per hour plus benefits.
- Terms: Winter, Spring, and Summer 2027.
- Minimum duration: 12 weeks.
