About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at a Tesla service center to support the maintenance and repair of electric vehicles. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Fall 2026 term. You will gain hands-on experience with vehicle service while working in a customer-facing environment.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, repair, and service Tesla electric vehicles.
- Use hand, power, and shop tools to complete tasks.
- Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles.
- Manage inventory, track time, and handle shop supplies and parts.
- Keep customer vehicles clean.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Capability to work in a team setting with a focus on safety.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to report to the service center in Burlingame.
