About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at a Tesla service center to support the maintenance and repair of our electric vehicles. This is a hands-on, full-time role where you will learn about electric vehicle technology while assisting with daily service operations. You will interact with customers and work closely with your team to ensure high standards of service.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level inspection, repair, and service on Tesla vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and shop tools to complete tasks.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new vehicles.
- Manage inventory, track time, and handle shop supplies and parts.
- Keep customer vehicles clean.
- Assist with Parts and Front of House operations as needed.
What you'll need#
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including web browser navigation and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Ability to report to the local service center as required.
