About the role#
This internship focuses on project execution, process development, and improvement within a Cathode Manufacturing plant. You will join the Cathode Design team to support current production and scope out technology for future expansions. You will work alongside a senior engineer on projects centered on process or equipment improvements, while collaborating with operations, controls, and maintenance staff to support the plant.
What you'll do#
- Interface with internal teams on production improvement initiatives.
- Design and execute trials in the process space and analyze the resulting data.
- Build detailed scopes of work for potential equipment installations.
- Interface with external vendors to identify equipment needs for retrofits or expansions.
- Assist with the day-to-day requirements of the Cathode Design team.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor degree in process, material science, chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
- A strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and the ability to solve technical problems.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong record-keeping and communication skills.
- Ability to read process flow diagrams and understand system requirements.
- Willingness to work in the field alongside operations teams.
- Previous internship experience in a production environment is preferred.
- Experience with powder handling equipment and pneumatic conveyance is highly desired.

- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
