About the role#
Tesla is looking for a Program Manager intern to support Pre-Owned Sales Operations. You will manage retail inventory volume and work to optimize vehicle turn times. This role focuses on the end-to-end process of moving vehicles from listing to customer delivery. You will use data and cross-functional collaboration to reduce dwell time, improve throughput, and maintain operational standards.
What you'll do#
- Manage pre-owned retail inventory volume from initial listing through final customer delivery.
- Monitor vehicle turn times against targets using reports and dashboards.
- Coordinate with internal teams on vehicle inspections, repairs, titling, and sale preparation.
- Analyze inventory data to identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
- Assist with logistics, scheduling, and status updates to keep vehicles moving.
- Standardize workflows to accelerate sales and minimize delays.
- Communicate insights and necessary escalations to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling.
- Experience with PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience using SQL, Python, or Tableau.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to present findings to cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Experience leveraging AI and automation to scale processes is a plus.
- Prior experience in supply chain, operations, or inventory management is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Fremont, California.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum of 12 weeks.
- Eligibility: This program is for students actively enrolled in an academic program.
