About the role#
This internship position is part of the Aerospace, Defense & Marine business unit. You will work on-site in Katy, Texas, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship that lasts 10 to 12 weeks. Please note that this role requires access to information subject to ITAR or EAR regulations, so you must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Create and maintain standard work, routings, and work instructions.
- Support layout, design, and workflow optimization for production areas.
- Identify and eliminate waste using Lean principles like 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and SMED.
- Develop and maintain production Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Automate and streamline processes using Microsoft Forms and Power Automate.
- Monitor data quality and perform validation checks to improve reporting accuracy.
- Partner with stakeholders to support compliance and sustainability projects.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive business initiatives.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in or pursuit of a BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Preference for candidates with prior internship experience or those who have completed a major project.
