About the role#
Quality Engineering at TD focuses on high-quality application delivery. As an intern, you will join a team dedicated to testing mobile and web applications to ensure they meet requirements and function reliably for our customers. You will gain hands-on experience by writing test automations, identifying software defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
What you'll do#
- Review system requirements and design documentation to build an understanding of the product.
- Create, execute, and document accurate test cases using standard test management tools.
- Define requirements for test data and environments.
- Automate test cases using established frameworks.
- Test web and mobile applications across various browsers and devices.
- Execute automated test cases using continuous integration tools.
- Detect accessibility violations and log defects for resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives.
- Develop test plans, traceability matrices, and test closure reports.
- Identify and raise awareness of technical issues.
- Support and maintain virtualized services and components.
- Adhere to technology delivery practices, standards, and project management disciplines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, specifically in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C, C++, or Python.
- Proficiency in database query languages, API methods, and XML.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- An interest in testing activities and a desire to learn Azure Cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with sharp analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively as a self-motivated team member.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term, running from January 4, 2027, to April 23, 2027.
- The role is based in Toronto or Mississauga, Ontario.
- Work is performed in a hybrid model, requiring 4 days per week in the office.
