About the role#
As an Integration Intern, you will participate in the product development process while taking ownership of your own project. You will perform technical work and document your design and testing efforts throughout each phase. This role requires you to work both independently and as part of a team to support internal departments and external customers on existing projects. You will also present your work at the end of the summer and demonstrate the guiding principles of Aerostar.
What you'll do#
- Apply your engineering skills to complete a dedicated project.
- Document design and testing progress.
- Provide engineering assistance on active projects.
- Perform technical tasks that build on your academic background.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership staff.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation at the end of your internship.
What you'll need#
- At least 2 years of progress toward a bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with teams.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks at once without close supervision.
- A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to multitask across different areas as needed.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, Matlab, or Python is a plus.
- Hands on experience in manufacturing, lab, or testing environments is preferred.
