About the role#
We are looking for a Student Intern to support field operations for our natural gas transportation systems. You will work alongside experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with compression equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role provides practical technical training and exposure to real-world energy infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support field operations while following our core values of safety, personal accountability, teamwork, and active learning.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment.
- Gain experience using field tools and operational procedures.
- Learn and apply safety protocols during field work.
- Participate in site visits, equipment inspections, and project activities under supervision.
- Build technical and problem-solving skills relevant to a field technician position.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Mechanical, Chemical, Pipeline, Automation, or related technical program.
- Completion of at least one academic term before May 2027.
- Intent to return to full-time studies immediately after the work term.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from May 2027 to August 2027.
- Exposure to mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, or field operations through coursework or projects.
- Knowledge of natural gas compression systems or industrial equipment.
- A strong safety mindset in both professional and personal settings.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to analyze information and adapt to changing priorities.
Location & details#
- Location: Greenville, Mississippi.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Requirements: Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing. Background screening is required. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States without restrictions.
