About the role#
TC Energy is looking for a student intern to join the Public Awareness and Public Engagement team. This role supports outreach initiatives across the United States. You will work alongside professionals to gain experience in community engagement, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder relations. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute public awareness campaigns for landowners, emergency responders, and community stakeholders.
- Coordinate liaison meetings, community events, and educational outreach activities.
- Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions.
- Create communication materials, presentations, and reports.
- Participate in meetings with Operations, Land, and Communications teams.
- Research industry best practices and regulatory updates.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for public awareness initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited degree program such as Communications, Business, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, or Public Affairs.
- Completion of at least one academic term before May 2027.
- Commitment to return to full-time studies immediately after the internship.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Experience with community engagement, communications, or stakeholder relations.
- Skill in preparing business documents and coordinating events.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to building relationships.
- A safety-focused mindset and alignment with TC Energy corporate values.
- Ability to analyze information and manage multiple tasks.
