    About the role#

    The R&D Intern position is a summer opportunity based at the Tarkett manufacturing plant in Middlefield, Ohio. This role focuses on manufacturing and process-related projects designed to prepare students for future R&D roles within a production environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Work on manufacturing and process-related projects.
    • Operate within a production environment with variable work conditions.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and practices within the facility.
    • Engage in tasks that prepare you for future professional roles in research and development.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
    • A desire to understand how systems function and a focus on problem-solving.
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
    • Ability to lift or move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
    • Capability to work in a production environment with variable conditions.

    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: On-site, full-time.
    • Status: Paid internship.
