About the role#
The R&D Intern position is a summer opportunity based at the Tarkett manufacturing plant in Middlefield, Ohio. This role focuses on manufacturing and process-related projects designed to prepare students for future R&D roles within a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Work on manufacturing and process-related projects.
- Operate within a production environment with variable work conditions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and practices within the facility.
- Engage in tasks that prepare you for future professional roles in research and development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
- A desire to understand how systems function and a focus on problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to lift or move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Capability to work in a production environment with variable conditions.
