About the role#
The Project Architect Intern will support the design and documentation efforts for sports facility projects, including master planning and renovations. This role reports to the Principal Director of Sports Design and involves working directly with consultants, clients, and contractors to move projects from concept through construction.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project design, documentation, and the preparation of presentation materials.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Oversee code compliance, including building codes, zoning, ADA, and life safety requirements.
- Oversee construction administration activities and project closeout.
- Perform site visits and prepare field reports.
- Assist with client meetings and project reviews.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Architecture or a similar industry-affiliated program.
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience (no experience is required to begin).
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
- Proficiency in rendering software such as Lumion, Enscape, D5, Twinmotion, or equivalent.
- Awareness of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction methods.
- Ability to produce conceptual design drawings, construction documents, and presentations with the guidance of senior staff.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A desire to pursue the Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and professional licensure.
