Project Architect Intern

About the role#

The Project Architect Intern will support the design team at Ampere, a division of Tarkett Sports specializing in sports facility architecture, master planning, and renovations. This role involves working directly with the Principal Director of Sports Design on projects ranging from community venues to professional stadiums.

What you'll do#

• Assist with project design, documentation, and the preparation of conceptual design drawings and construction documents.
• Coordinate project efforts with consultants, clients, and contractors.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee code compliance, including building codes, zoning, ADA requirements, and life safety standards.
• Conduct construction administration activities, including site visits, field reports, and project closeout.
• Prepare and refine presentation materials for client meetings and project reviews.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in Architecture or a related field.
• 0-3 years of professional experience; no prior experience is required to begin.
• Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
• Experience with rendering software such as Lumion, Enscape, D5, or Twinmotion.
• Foundational knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building codes.
• Ability to produce technical drawings and presentations under the guidance of senior staff.
• Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills with a proactive approach to learning.
