About the role#
The Store Executive Intern program is a paid, 40-hour per week, hands-on training program designed to prepare you for store leadership. Over the course of the summer, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working closely with mentors and store managers. You will spend your time on the salesfloor and in the backroom, learning how to drive guest experience, manage store operations, and motivate team members.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the salesfloor and in the backroom leading team members and aligning on daily business priorities.
- Work alongside your Executive Team Lead mentor and other store leaders to understand their roles and department management.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered to assist guests.
- Lead and present at daily huddles with your peer and leadership teams.
- Plan daily goals, organize workload, and review business reporting to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback, coach team members, and address concerns to ensure smooth operations.
- Actively participate in program training, developmental opportunities, and events.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive work environment while holding others accountable to company standards.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Capability to handle physical tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Psychology, or Communications.
