About the role#
The Store Executive Intern program is a paid, 40-hour per week, hands-on training experience designed to prepare you for store leadership. Over the summer of 2027, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work closely with mentors and team members to understand retail business operations, drive guest experience, and support store performance. This program focuses on developing your management skills through active participation in daily store leadership.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the store salesfloor and in the backroom leading team members and aligning them on daily business priorities.
- Work alongside your Executive Team Lead mentor and other leaders to gain an understanding of their roles.
- Lead and present at daily huddles with your peer and leadership team.
- Plan daily goals and organize tasks within the building.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered to assist guests.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback, coach team members, and address concerns to ensure smooth operations.
- Review business reporting and guest insights to troubleshoot and follow up on opportunity areas.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Psychology, or Communications.
- Strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
- Previous retail experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to access all areas of the building, climb ladders, and frequently lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.

- This is an on-site, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Positions are available in Lexington, Kentucky, and Louisville, Kentucky.
