About the role#
As an Associate Front-End Developer, you will join a team focused on the research, design, and development of various projects. This is a paid, full-time co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will contribute to front-end solutions while building your technical skills in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to build, deliver, and maintain high-quality applications.
- Write efficient, documented code and handle coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Manage or coordinate small to medium prototypes from initial ideation through to final presentation.
- Ensure all solutions meet business and technical requirements, including performance and stability.
- Identify knowledge gaps and seek guidance from senior team members to deliver effective solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in web application development using JavaScript/ES6, React.js, HTML, CSS, Webpack, and XML/JSON.
- A solid understanding of web-based applications and client-server technologies, such as Bootstrap.
- Ability to work effectively within an Agile team structure.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Ability to break down ideas and articulate requirements to create working prototypes.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Toronto or Waterloo, Ontario.
- The position requires a hybrid work arrangement.
- You will be expected to attend in-person team events and meetings at the Toronto office, approximately 2 to 3 times per term.
