About the role#
This is a hands-on engineering position where you will work directly with the team building and scaling the StudyFetch platform. You will contribute to the mobile app, web product, and AI features, shipping code that is used by students. You will participate in planning and design discussions and have the opportunity to work alongside founders and senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Ship real code to production, taking tickets from branch to release.
- Build features across the stack using React Native for mobile, Next.js for web, and Node.js services.
- Work on AI-powered product features, including prompt design, model integration, and system reliability.
- Debug production issues, reproduce bug reports, and implement fixes.
- Write tests and improve QA and CI processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript and able to read existing codebases.
- Genuine interest in building products.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining work in pull requests and team discussions.
- Organized and dependable with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Bonus qualifications include experience with React, React Native, or Next.js, as well as familiarity with Git, Linear, Cursor, or Vercel. Prior experience with side projects, open source contributions, or LLM APIs is also a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Beverly Hills, California (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Part-time (flexible start and end dates based on class schedule).
- Compensation: $3500 per month.
- Benefits: Complimentary dinner for work past 6pm and lunch every Friday.
