About the role#
The Intramural Sports Student Supervisor oversees intramural sports contests and events at the Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center. This role involves managing student officials and ensuring programs run according to established policies. You will serve as a primary contact for participants, handling inquiries and resolving conflicts on-site.
What you'll do#
- Administer and oversee intramural sports contests, including the setup and teardown of equipment.
- Mentor and provide feedback to officials to help them improve their performance.
- Verify the eligibility of participants before games begin.
- Handle player and team protests or ejections with professionalism.
- Assist with training clinics for officials.
- Document events by completing incident, accident, and equipment reports.
- Administer first aid or CPR if an emergency occurs.
- Act as a liaison between participants and staff.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.
