About the role#
The Administrative Student Assistant provides support for the daily operations of the Provident Credit Union Event Center and other facilities managed by the Student Union, Inc. of SJSU. This role assists with event documentation, billing, and office administration while serving as a primary point of contact for campus partners and visitors.
What you'll do#
- Process facility reservation requests and update scheduling systems.
- Prepare purchase authorization requests and assist with billing and invoicing.
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and campus partners by answering inquiries and directing requests.
- Provide on-site administrative support during events and assist with event logistics.
- Maintain office supplies, shared files, and departmental records.
- Assist with data entry and the preparation of business documents or reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Business Administration, Communications, or Media Studies.
- Experience with administrative support, financial tracking, or billing processes.
- Proficiency with office software and general office operations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and maintain both electronic and paper filing systems.
