About the role#
This Electrical Engineering internship offers hands-on experience in a medical technology setting. You will work on projects that contribute to the development and sustainment of medical devices. Interns join specific teams such as Advanced Quality, Process Quality, Supplier Quality, Research & Development, or Manufacturing to gain exposure to the product lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Apply classroom knowledge to engineering projects in an industry setting.
- Implement new ideas and develop technical skills through project work.
- Document complex processes and present information in a clear format.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Conduct design verification and quantitative testing of technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and build professional relationships.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Locations: San Jose, California, and Fremont, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: This position supports on-site, hybrid, or remote work arrangements depending on the specific team requirements.
- Employment Type: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly wage range of $20 to $35, plus a sign-on bonus and 11 paid holidays. Paid corporate housing or a living stipend is provided based on the hiring location.
