About the role#
Stella-Jones is hiring a Forestry Summer Student for the Woodlands division in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. You will work under the supervision of experienced forest professionals to gain hands-on experience in the field. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform road and block layout
- Conduct timber cruising
- Carry out silviculture surveys
What you'll need#
- You are a career-minded, full-time student with an interest in forestry
- You work well in a team and communicate clearly
- You are physically fit for varied terrain and enjoy outdoor work
- You hold a valid driver's license
- You are familiar with GPS technology
- Previous forestry experience is an asset
- First aid level 2 certification is an asset
