About the role#
As a mechanical building intern at our Laval or Montreal office, you will work on various mechanical systems. These include heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, automatic control systems, and medical gas systems. You will support projects for institutional, industrial, and commercial clients. You will participate in site visits, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to project design and technical follow-ups throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to project design and execution, including feasibility studies and equipment selection.
- Perform technical calculations and thermal load analysis using IES-VE.
- Create plans and conduct research into applicable codes and standards.
- Participate in BIM-Revit integrated design projects.
- Suggest improvements for internal team tools and processes.
- Conduct site surveys on existing installations and assist with construction site monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering or building mechanics.
- Interest in project design and developing new technical solutions.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and share ideas.
- Motivation to grow your skills through involvement in diverse projects.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite and comfort with digital tools.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
