About the role#
Stantec is seeking a Roadway Design Intern to join our Transportation group in Raleigh, North Carolina. This summer 2027 internship offers practical experience working alongside engineers and designers on roadway projects. You will support our team by assisting with design tasks and coordinating with various disciplines including structural, planning, and traffic.
What you'll do#
- Gather project data and perform routine calculations.
- Prepare and assemble reports and drawings.
- Assist with design projects using OpenRoads Designer.
- Observe and attend meetings with the design team and project stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
- Work is primarily in an office environment, though field work may include exposure to weather conditions.
