About the role#
The Management Engineering intern supports our department by applying academic knowledge to real-world healthcare projects. You will work alongside management engineers and project teams to improve internal systems, gain hands-on experience in industrial systems engineering, and contribute to our operational goals.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams to support various initiatives.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Research industry best practices and emerging technologies to prepare reports.
- Review existing workflows to identify and implement process improvements.
- Use data analytics tools to measure and track performance.
- Build and maintain data dashboards.
- Communicate findings to colleagues across the organization.
- Participate in internal training programs and workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Systems Engineering Bachelor's program.
- Completion of an Engineering Statistics course.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, Python, and SQL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a cross-functional team.
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative.
- Preferred: Completed coursework in Simulation Modeling and Optimization Modeling.
