    About the role#

    The Coordinator, Communications and Student Experience supports the St. Clair Student Representative Council by managing branding, communications, and event logistics. This is a full-time contract position lasting 15 to 18 months. You will act as a primary liaison between the council, students, staff, and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and project alignment. Please note this is not a student job opportunity.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with the Events Coordinator on programming, budgeting, and scheduling.
    • Edit all internal and external office correspondence.
    • Manage the SRC website content and coordinate with IT for site administration.
    • Produce a monthly e-newsletter and assist with the annual day planner printing process.
    • Oversee the creation, ordering, and sales of SRC merchandise.
    • Respond to student inquiries submitted through the website.
    • Partner with the Board of Directors to review and approve monthly initiatives.
    • Work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to develop social media campaigns.
    • Manage inventory and technical functionality for Health Bot units and Joni menstrual product machines.
    • Assist the Executive Director in managing promotional and branding budgets.
    • Supervise, schedule, and manage payroll for the promo team and student-photographer team.
    • Act as the main contact for contracted ad sales agencies and printers.

    What you'll need#

    • Education in public relations, advertising, marketing, or journalism.
    • Relevant workplace experience in communications or marketing.
    • Proficiency in writing and editing official documents, media releases, and promotional materials.
    • Experience with budget preparation and management.
    • Knowledge of entertainment booking and contract negotiation.
    • Familiarity with liquor service regulations and health and safety guidelines for event venues.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Zoom, and event ticketing platforms.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.
