About the role#
SSR Mining Inc. is hiring a Process Engineer Co-op Intern to support the metallurgical team at the Seabee Gold Operation. This role focuses on optimizing mill performance, conducting laboratory testing, and supporting daily production activities. You will work alongside experienced staff to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
What you'll do#
- Assist the metallurgical team by arranging and conducting mill sample campaigns.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor plant parameters and suggest optimization solutions.
- Conduct various laboratory tests to optimize plant performance.
- Analyze data and prepare technical documentation to support operational decisions.
- Maintain the efficient operation of mass meters and samplers throughout the production process.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program for Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Completion of at least two years of post-secondary education.
- Proficiency in metallurgical software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good observational and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle a high level of confidentiality.
- Experience with Power BI and AutoCAD is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (with work at a remote site).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation at a remote camp.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: Drug and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for this position.
