About the role#
SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a Mine Technical Services Associate Co-op Intern for an 8-month term. Reporting to the Supervisor of Mine Engineering, you will gain experience across multiple engineering functions including planning, scheduling, surveying, ventilation, and ground control. This role is based at the Seabee Gold Operation, which is located in the boreal forest of Saskatchewan.
What you'll do#
- Create professional short to medium-term planning strategies and provide execution guidance for mining processes.
- Develop and assist with medium-term ventilation strategies and maintain short-term ventilation requirements.
- Assist in maintaining Ground Control standards through fieldwork and analysis.
- Analyze data and provide technical documentation to support decision-making.
- Engage with business partners across the organization to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Participate in mine-related projects such as feasibility studies, equipment procurement, and ventilation construction.
- Create and manage performance reports and devise strategies to address deficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mine or Geological Engineering.
- A minimum of two years of completed education.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with teams at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and discretion.
- Possession of a security screening document as required by The Mines Regulations, 2018.
Location & details#
- Location: Seabee Gold Operation, Saskatchewan, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site at a remote camp.
- Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off with fly-in/fly-out service from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- Substance testing for drugs and alcohol is a requirement for this position.
