About the role#
The Retail Marketing Intern supports marketing initiatives designed to connect the brand with local shoppers in the Madison, Wisconsin market. This hands-on position focuses on driving store traffic, increasing shopper engagement, and building community presence through a mix of event planning, digital content creation, and recruitment marketing support. You will work closely with store leadership and cross-functional teams to bring marketing strategies to life.
What you'll do#
- Execute local marketing activations, including managing signage, displays, and promotional setups to ensure brand consistency.
- Assist in the planning and on-the-ground execution of in-store and community events.
- Create and publish digital and social media content, including capturing photos and videos at events.
- Support recruitment marketing efforts by promoting job opportunities through social media and local channels.
- Collaborate with store operations, merchandising, and HR teams to support project execution.
- Observe shopper behavior and local market trends to identify opportunities for improved engagement and community connection.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Food Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to be highly collaborative and resilient when overcoming obstacles.
